According to the order of the President of the Republic of the Azerbaijan on the 25th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide, 63 pine trees were planted in the area that is considered for the memory of 63 children who were killed in the Khojaly genocide in Meshali settlement of Goranboy region where the Khojaly people were compactly settled in accordance with the action plan prepared by the Khojaly Region Executive Power.
Responsible representatives of Khojaly District Executive Power, Mission on Administrative Areas in Meshali Region, residents of Mesheli village, teacher collective of high school in Meshali and martyr families from Khojaly participated in the action. 63 pine trees were planted in order to perpetuate the memory of 63 children killed in Khojaly genocide. The boards on which the names, the dates of birth and death of the children who were killed by the Armenian bandits were written were buried in front of trees planted in their memory.
Deputy Head of the Khojaly Executive Power, Head of the Department of Public-Political and Humanitarian Affairs Lamiya Qarayeva said that we should always remember the names of children who stopped growing in our blood memory and keep them in our hearts with these planted seedlings. Finally, she added that all the Khojaly people believe that, President Ilham Aliyev’s for-sighted policy will return internally displayed persons to their homeland. Then a memorial plaque for 63 children who were martyred will be prepared in our native Khojaly. Vahid Aliyev, Deputy Head of Khojaly Executive Power, the Head of the Department for Analysis and Forecasting of Socio-Economic Development wished God’s mercy to the soul of our martyrs who were brutally murdered by Armenian gangsters. He mentioned that, as a result of the correct policy pursued by President Mr. Ilham Aliyev, our state and army are developing day by day. We are confident that the “Great Return” project launched in Cocuq Mercanli village will continue and be completed successfully in our occupied lands.
Families of martyrs expressed their gratitude to everyone who contributed to this significant event, especially, Shahmar Usubov, the Head of Khojaly District Executive Power.
